This is weather and personnel permitting. Last year they projected 1 week job which took months.

Monday/Tuesday, July 17/18 – removal of the old/milling

Wednesday July 19 – Leveling and quality check

Thursday July 20 – paving the initial layer

Friday July 21 – paving the final layer

We leave the road to “cure” for 48 hours. We want to avoid driving on the road after it has been paved to ensure a longer lasting road. This is why we are advising to not drive on it through Sunday if all the work goes as planned.

As with last time, rubbish and recycling will be impacted as those trucks definitely should not be driving on our road. Deliveries from Amazon, UPS, Fedex, etc can be impacted. The recommendation is for each co-owner to hold the mail by contacting the USPS directly. There is a slight chance the different delivery services will park at the edge of the barrier and walk to your house. We recommend against thinking this will happen.

Lastly, if there is an emergency, emergency vehicles will be allowed through. We will need to accept the consequences of this possibility. We are not going to prioritize roads over a life. We will need to accept that this could mean a more costly road project if work has to be redone or we have damage done due to the stage of the road project.

<post-id
